wiring

I'm still trying to work out what I need to do to wire up the bike when I get rid of all the surplus electronic gubbins. So far I've managed to remove the oxygen sensors, the engine and air intake temperature sensors, the fuel injection unit, which came away with the manifolds. The active exhaust sensors and motor went when I switched to the shortshock exhausts.  All this, in itself, is fine but the wiring from these components to the ECU (which I've also removed) is still there. If I can help it, I don't want to leave any of the loom which is not needed as that will only confuse things for any future work.

I've printed off the wiring diagram from the Harley manual. There's twelve bloody pages of it! Well actually it's only six pages but they all spread over two sheets. And a lot of the important stuff is on the join!

So, what I'm going to do is try to sit down and draw out a simplified schematic. Then I'll replace any wiring that I need, rather than cutting and soldering the stuff that's already there.
As I'm going to be re-wiring almost half the loom, this may take me some time!
